Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov Undergoes Wrist Surgery

(CBS) Blackhawks forward Artem Anisimov underwent right wrist surgery Tuesday, the team announced.

Anisimov's surgery went "well," according to the Blackhawks, and he's expected to return to full hockey activities in six to eight weeks. The team didn't reveal specifics on what was wrong with his wrist.

The 27-year-old Anisimov had 42 points (20 goals, 22 assists) in 77 games in his first season with the Blackhawks, filling the center spot alongside Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin on the team's second line that was one of hockey's most dangerous units.
