CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man and teenage boy have been charged with committing four armed robberies in just over an hour this weekend on the North Side.

In each robbery, 19-year-old Willie Madden and the 17-year-old boy displayed or implied that they had a handgun and demanded property from the victims, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The robberies occurred between 11:35 p.m. Sunday and 12:37 a.m. Monday in the 3900 block of North Ravenswood, the 3700 block of North Leavitt, the 1800 block of West Patterson and the 1100 block of West Grace, police said.

Madden and the boy were found inside a vehicle that had been reported stolen from the 2500 block of West Moffat at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

Madden was charged with four felony counts of robbery, while the teen was charged with one felony count of robbery, police said. They were both also charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to a vehicle.

Madden, of the 4000 block of West Washington, was scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
