Amazon Will Open A Real Store In Chicago

(CBS) – Internet retail behemoth Amazon has been accused of effectively shutting down book stores. Now, it's opening them – including one in Chicago.

The Seattle-based company confirmed Thursday it will open Amazon Books on the Southport Avenue corridor next year. It declined to offer additional details, though other media outlets reported Amazon is eyeing the former home of Mystic Celt, 3443 N. Southport Ave. The store will reportedly highlight Amazon's electronic products while selling books.

Amazon last year opened its first bricks-and-mortar store in its home city.
