Aroldis Chapman's Numbers Are Insane
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Cubs fireballer closer Aroldis Chapman throws hard. That's no secret.
But this tweet from Major League Baseball research guru Daren Willman puts Chapman's dominance in perspective.
His first five pitches in the eighth inning of Chicago's win in Game 2 of the World Series were other-worldly.
He threw 23 pitches (14 strikes) to five batters Wednesday, striking out two and walking one.
The Cubs won 5-1 winners, evening the series at 1-1. Game 3 is set for Friday at 7:08 p.m. at Wrigley Field, and you can hear the hometown call on 670 The Score.
