Man Fatally Shot In Auburn Gresham

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 25-year-old man was shot to death early Saturday in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

At 12:04 a.m., Martell Turner was sitting in a vehicle in the 1200 block of West 79th Street, when someone walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Turner was hit in the chest and abdomen, and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 1:31 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 7900 block of South Throop.
