St. Charles East High School Will Be Closed Wednesday

(CBS) – Classes will be cancelled Wednesday -- the second day in a row -- at St. Charles East High School, due to the outbreak of a stomach virus, officials announced.

The school was closed Tuesday, following hundreds of sick calls from students Monday. School officials say they suspect norovirus is to blame.

They are following federal government recommendations that people with the symptoms wait 48 hours before resuming normal activities.

Classes resume on Thursday, officials said.
