Body Found In Chicago River

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A body was found floating in the Chicago River in the River West neighborhood Thursday morning.

Police said a witness spotted a male body in the river near the Chicago Avenue bridge around 9:20 a.m.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit pulled the body from the water, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details were not immediately available.
