August 24 from 7p – 9p: Real Time Sports in Elk Grove Village

Audition Process: After the audition dates, the Score will identify the top 10 candidates from all on-site applicants who will then be invited for a formal interview with Mitch Rosen, Program and Operations Director at 670 The Score. The final four candidates will then be selected from the remaining group.

The Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert will conclude with a finale event on Saturday, September 9 at a TBD location from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM where a panel of expert judges will select the winner! The Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert will contribute to the station’s fantasy football content, both on-air and online, by offering tips and strategies throughout the 2017 regular season. He or she will appear every Sunday on Joe Ostrowski’s show between 8:00 am and 9:00 am for a live segment as well as writing a weekly column for CBSChicago.com

2017 AUDITION PROCEDURES

HOW TO AUDITION

To audition, a candidate may attempt to audition by attending and registering at one (1) of the following six (6) Round 1 locations on the dates and times listed below in the Candidate Selection and Notification section. The locations, dates, and times are as follows:

The Audition locations (“Locations”) and the dates and/or times of the auditions are subject to change, and any changes will be broadcast on WSCR (the “Station”) and will be reflected in an updated copy of these audition procedures posted on the Station’s website at http://www.cbschicago.com/expert

After all six (6) Round 1 auditions have taken place, up to ten (10) candidates will be selected from all eligible Round 1 auditions for a formal interview at the Station with the Station’s Program and Operations Director on a mutually agreed upon date and time between August 28 – September 5, 2017, in which the Station’s Program and Operations Director will ask each candidate about their background, station knowledge, Fantasy Football knowledge, experience with media and fantasy football, overall sound and writing skills, etc.

After the in-Station interviews have taken place, up to four (4) candidates will be selected to move on to the Final Round and will have his or her bio’s, headshot and audio audition sound clip featured on the Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert section on 670thescore.com.

The Final Round will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at a to be determined location from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM CT. Up to one (1) candidate in the Final Round will be selected as the 2017 Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert and, provided that such candidate satisfies the required qualifications, the Station may, but is not required to, offer such candidate the opportunity to be a part-time weekend on-air announcer on the Station, as described below.

Judging of candidates in each Round will be based on suitability to perform the services of an on-air radio personality for a sports talk-radio station. Judging will be performed by one or more Station personnel (the “Judges”) with final decision made by Station management personnel. The decisions of the Program Director and/or Operations Director in each Round of the Auditions are final. The procedures in each Round are subject to change at Station’s sole and absolute discretion.

Candidates may be video recorded and/or photographed in any of the Rounds of the Audition, and, in consideration of participating in any Audition, candidates grant to Station the right to use their name, likeness, portrait, recorded voice and image, and biographical material in order to advertise, promote or publicize the Station, its licensee, its parent and affiliated entities, and any sponsors of the Audition in any medium now known or hereinafter developed, without additional compensation to the candidate. Failure to appear on time at any Round may result in disqualification, and failure to appear at Round 1 or the Final Round will result in disqualification.

In the event that a candidate is disqualified to participate in any Round, the Station may select an alternate candidate, but is not obligated to do so.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The audition is open to all persons 18 years of age and older who reside in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Employees of Station, its licensee, the licensee’s parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies, its participating sponsors, and other radio stations in the Chicagoland metropolitan area, as well as the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not) are not qualified to participate in any Round of the audition.

Persons who on or after September 9, 2017 are (1) bound by any contractual or other obligations which would prevent him/her from accepting an on-air position with the Station; (2) subject to any restrictive covenants which would in any way hinder his/her ability to accept an on-air position with the Station; or (3) are unable for any reason to accept an on-air position with the Station, are ineligible to participate in any Rounds of the audition.

Each candidate may be required to provide (1) valid government-issued photo identification and (2) his/her complete residence address (no P.O. box), date of birth and telephone number. Station may perform a standard background check on any candidate and any such candidate may be disqualified if he/she (1) does not complete the necessary authorizations or otherwise cooperate with such background check, or (2) fails the background check. Additional reference material, such as birth certificate may also be required to be provided by Final Round candidates.

If selected as the Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert and offered the opportunity to be a part-time weekend on-air announcer on the Station, the candidate may be required to enter into an employment agreement as described in the section below. Refusal to enter into such an agreement may result in the candidate’s disqualification.

If the candidate selected as the Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert and offered the opportunity to be a part-time weekend on-air announcer on the Station is deemed ineligible, elects not to enter into the employment agreement as described in the section below, or is deemed unsuitable by Station management to host a radio program on Station, Station may select an alternative Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert, but is not obligated to do so.

All candidates are required to provide truthful information. The Station will reject and eliminate any candidate who it discovers provided false or fraudulent information. The Station will reject and eliminate any candidate who does not meet the qualifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate selected in the Final Round of the Auditions (the Potential “Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert”) may be offered the opportunity to be a part-time weekend on-air announcer on the Station and in such case will be provided the opportunity to enter into a written employment agreement with Station (the “Agreement”) on terms and conditions as shall be determined by Station, in its sole discretion. The Agreement shall provide for Station’s right, but not obligation, to use the Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert’s on-air and online services for a once-a-week radio program at such day (including weekends) and times as Station may from time to time designate and for the Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert to be paid at the pre-tax rate of $100/show for one (1) hour with minimum annual payment of $100.00 (“Minimum Payment”). So long as the Agreement is not terminated for cause by Station, Station shall be obligated to pay the Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert the Minimum Payment (less any deductions or taxes required by law) regardless of whether Station elects to use the Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert’s on-air services.

The Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the Agreement and being selected as the Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert. The Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert will be responsible for following all of Station’s programming guidelines and other Station policies as directed by Station management. Selection as a Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert in no way guarantees future employment.

The Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert shall not have the right to substitute the opportunity to enter into the Agreement for any other item of value or for the cash equivalent and shall not have the right to transfer or assign the Agreement to any other individual or entity. The Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert shall not be entitled to anything other than the Minimum Payment and except as expressly specified, shall not be reimbursed in connection with any taxes or expenses associated with being selected as the Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert and/or entering into the Agreement. Other restrictions may apply.

Candidates must register onsite at a designated area of the Round 1 Location with Station personnel. Candidates may begin to register with Station personnel present at the Location up to sixty (60) minutes before the listed starting times above. The Station reserves the right to cut-off registrations by 8:30pm CT on each Audition date. Thereafter, auditions will be conducted on a first come, first serve basis until the end time for the Location listed above, regardless of when a candidate joined the queue.

Once registered, candidates will be given up to five (5) minutes to write about a pre-selected sport topic by the Station on a Station-provided laptop and to prepare a ninety (90) second audio clip about that topic, including an intro, body and ending to present in front of the Station personnel. The Judge(s) will determine, based on both the written and audio portion of auditions, the top ten (10) candidates under consideration to advance to the interview round (each a “Selected Candidate”).

ROUND 2 — CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS

The ten (10) Selected Candidates will move on to Round 2 for a formal interview at the Station with the Station’s Program and Operations Director on a mutually agreed upon date and time between August 28 – September 5, 2017, in which the Station’s Program and Operations Director will ask each candidate about their background, station knowledge, Fantasy Football knowledge, experience with media and fantasy football, overall sound and writing skills, etc.

The top four (4) Selected Candidates will advance to Final Round (each a “Finalist”). Candidates will be notified and invited to move on to Final Round between August 28 – September 5, 2017 however, the Station reserves the right to notify candidates at a later date.

FINAL ROUND – SELECTION OF POTENTIAL FAN PHENOM AND NOTIFICATION

Each of the four (4) Finalists will be asked to join hosts for an approximately two (2) hour segment on-air. The Judge(s) during the Final Round will select the Potential Great Clips Fantasy Football Expert based on suitability to perform the services of an on-air radio personality for a sports talk-radio station and announce the winner on-air September 9, 2017.
