Rongey: Striding Forward

Pitching around a walk and a single (that off the bat of Alex Rodriguez) in the 7th, and sitting at 100 pitches, it was clear that Phil Humber’s night had come to an end as he finished that inning with the no-hitter no longer in tact.

Rongey: 5th Spot Still Humber’s…For Now

Seven earned runs and and 4 walks in Thursday’s 8-7 White Sox loss to the Cubs, likely aren’t going to cost Phil Humber a chance at breaking camp as the team’s 5th starter. Barring an incredible recover by Jake Peavy or an acquisition of some kind (both highly unlikely), Humber will still be the guy.
