Teen Charged With Shooting 7-Year-Old Elijah Dace

Police have said 7-year-old Elijah Dace was with a group of children walking near 109th and Loomis strets around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, when two suspects – who were hiding on the side of a garage – jumped out and opened fire.

Police Question One In Ambush Shooting Of 7-Year-Old Elijah Dace

Community activist Andrew Holmes said the gunmen were hiding on the side of a garage, and jumped out as Elijah Dace walked with a group of kids near 109th and Loomis streets around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday. The shooters, who appeared to be teens, opened fire, and shot Elijah in the shoulder.
