An employee was shot to death at a Chinese restaurant on the West Side during an attempted robbery Friday evening in the Austin neighborhood.
Pierre Peters, 41, was shot in the back about 2:35 p.m. inside his home in the 0 – 100 block of North Lorel, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
