The “Billy Cub” character has made “rude, profane and derogatory remarks and gesticulations to patrons, ticket holders, fans or other individuals located in the area of Wrigley Field,” according to the suit.
He was caught on video this weekend throwing a punch in a Wrigleyville bar. As CBS 2’s Mike Parker reports, the man in the costume says there’s more to the story than the video shows.
“Billy Cub” has acted as an unaffiliated mascot for years.
My personal take is that the Wrigley experience is already going to be changing more than enough with the inclusion of a giant Jumbotron in left field. Do the Cubs really need to change it in every way?
