Running water has been restored for a north suburban condo complex that had been without it for five days, but the fix is only temporary, and there is still a boil order in effect.
The City of Highwood issued a citywide boil order Tuesday morning, advising residents to boil any water to be used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or washing dishes. The city recommends that they bring water to a rolling boil for five minutes and allow it to cool before consumption.
