Thousands Make Pilgrimage To Des Plaines For Our Lady Of Guadalupe

Archbishop Blase Cupich joined thousands of Catholics in northwest suburban Des Plaines overnight, as they began an annual 36-hour celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, to honor the patron saint of Mexico.

Ohio State President Retires After Taking Jabs At Notre Dame, Catholics

Ohio State University President Gordon Gee announced his retirement Tuesday after he came under fire for jokingly referring to “those damn Catholics” at Notre Dame and poking fun at the academic quality of other schools.

Ohio State President Criticizes Notre Dame: ‘You Can’t Trust Those Damn Catholics’

The president of Ohio State University said Notre Dame was never invited to join the Big Ten because the university’s priests are not good partners, joking that “those damn Catholics” can’t be trusted, according to a recording of a meeting he attended late last year.
