A teenage boy has been charged with attempted murder for firing a shot at Chicago Police officers in the North Side Uptown neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.
About 2:50 p.m., officers responding to a “gang-related disturbance” in the 4600 block of North Kenmore Avenue saw someone running away from the area, said police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.

Tuesday night, lifelong South Shore resident Christon Barlow was out picking up a few things for other nursing home residents and the staff, when he was shot and killed.
