Three days after it was closed for multiple city health violations, the upscale market Fox & Obel opened its doors to customers on Thursday.
Health inspection reports show an upscale River North grocery, currently shut down for violations, has repeatedly failed inspections over the past few years.
Fox & Obel, in the Streeterville neighborhood, closed abruptly Monday. A sign on the door said the closure, for the remainder of the day, was “due to an emergency.”
When I think of really good bread, I picture Paris. Having the ability to pick up a nice, fresh baguette on your way home from work to bring to your family each night. The crunchiness on the outside and the softness in the inside is what makes it so Parisian. But in Chicago, we have to do without that elegance.
