With Suspect Still In Custody, $10K Reward Offered In Gary Cop’s Murder

Authorities in northwest Indiana were offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of a suspect or suspects in the murder of Gary Police Officer Jeffrey Westerfield, even though police have said publicly they’re “fairly confident” the suspect was arrested the same day Westerfield was slain.

Infant, Children Struck By Vehicle In Gary

Among pedestrians struck by the vehicle were a 3-month-old, a 21-month-old, a 3-year-old, two 7-year-olds, a 9-year-old and an 11-year-old. Two adults, 27 and 45, were also struck by the vehicle.
