Grant Park Music Festival
A great concert doesn’t have to cost a dime. Treat your ears by attending free music concerts this summer in and around Chicago.
From a spring concert set among an historic home to a summer-long festival, Chicago is the place to be for music lovers. Check out the following performances the next time you’re in the mood to hear a live concert.
It’s the season for big-ticket concerts and weekend-long lineups with multi-day passes priced in the hundreds. Luckily, for us cheapskates, summer’s also the season for live music events of the free variety. One of the perks of big city life is there’s plenty of free entertainment, and you don’t have to look too hard to find it. Here are my personal picks for the top local freebie shows for Summer 2012.
The Grant Park Chorus will be singing Chicago Tribune Headlines this Friday, as the Grant Park Music Festival Gets underway in Millennium Park.
Here’s a rundown of notable upcoming performances that are strictly free of charge!
