Man Gets 23 Years For Beating Death Of Police Officer Grandmother

Keshawn Perkins was 15 when he was arrested for the Nov. 4, 2011, murder of his grandmother, Hester Scott, at their home in the 8800 block of South Wallace. Perkins, now 19, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of first-degree murder at a hearing before Judge Clayton Crane, who handed down the 23-year sentence.
