The mother of two little boys, I often feel like I’m lucky if I sneak in a shower where I can wash my hair without having to stop part way through to referee a game of light sabering. That said, keeping up with fashion and being fashionable (when simply keeping up with bathing is a task) doesn’t always come super easy when little ones are under foot. (Also, what do you mean the Princess Leia hair buns aren’t in style?)
Menswear this fall is as usual, classically driven. You’ll see a lot of light grey, and pieces reminiscent of the romanticism period (bow ties, long flowing coats, tailored jackets), which I’m totally loving. There’s also the reappearance of Nordic sweaters and high-top shoes, if you’ve got the confidence to try something a bit trendier…
Trends come and go. Some come again, and some we can’t wait to go. I used to think Boho Chic was just a trend, but its resurrection and prominence in the fashion world for the last 10 years suggests otherwise. With roots back to the late 60s through 70s, it represented an easy going, loving life, peace, and harmony approach to an ever-changing world.
Washing is apparently not the best way to go if you want to keep your favorite pair of jeans looking fresh and new.
Everybody needs a perfect pair of jeans. From department stores to boutiques, you can find the fit and style you want if you do a little research first. Here are a few suggestions on where to shop for jeans in Chicago:
