The allegedly impaired teen driver accused of striking and killing a 5-year-old girl on Labor Day may have run over the girl more than once, a lawsuit filed by the victim’s family says.
Rodney T. Peterson of Arlington Heights was sentenced to two years’ supervision, ordered to pay a $400 fine and prohibited from contacting the two girls or their families, Barrington police said in a news release.
The man followed two children from school to South Saginaw Avenue, where he opened the car door and told them to get inside about 8:10 a.m. Jan. 18.
