A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood Monday afternoon. About 2:25 p.m., a gunman approached 23-year-old Master G. Roberson in the 700 block of North Hamlin and opened fire, striking him in the head and chest.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot at 4:10 a.m. in the 1700 block of West Touhy Avenue found the men shot in an alley, police said. Albert S. Turnage, 23, was shot in the chest and a 30-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the shoulder, arm, back and buttocks, authorities said. Turnage was later pronounced dead.
