Smoke was reported from the one-story building at the True Way of Life Missionary Baptist Church at 7 a.m. The fire was quickly put out, and no one was injured.

Man Shot And Killed In West Garfield Park

Dennis Glover, 27, was walking with his girlfriend on a sidewalk in the 700 block of South Kilbourn Avenue about 8:15 p.m. when two suspects approached and shot him multiple times in the chest and head.

Man Shot Along West Garfield Park Safe Passage Route

The 44-year-old was shot in both legs and suffered a graze wound to his abdomen about 2:50 p.m. in the 4300 block of West Van Buren Street.
