Group: Boat That Capsized In Mackinac Race Unstable

A sailboat that capsized in a storm during the annual race from Chicago to Mackinac Island, killing two crew members, was not suited for the competition because its sails were too big for its weight, a sailing group says.

Yacht Club Won’t End Race To Mackinac Over Deaths

The Chicago Yacht Club says it has no thoughts of the ending the Race to Mackinaw after the deaths of two people when a boat capsized over the weekend.

2 Sailors’ Bodies Found After Boat Flips In Mackinac Race

Divers have found the bodies of two sailors whose boat capsized in Lake Michigan last night during the 103rd annual Chicago to Mackinac Race.
