State Rep. Deb Mell To Succeed Father As 33rd Ward Alderman
State Rep. Deb Mell will take her father's seat on the Chicago City Council, as longtime 33rd Ward Ald. Richard Mell retires after 38 years representing the Northwest Side. Mayor Rahm Emanuel nominated Deb Mell to take her father's place, and City Council confirmation is expected to be a formality.
