Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Young Girl

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (CBS) - A 33-year-old west suburban man has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a girl who was younger than 12.

Naperville police received information last week that a minor girl who had been living out of state had told another police department she had been the victim of a sexual assault when she lived in Naperville, a release from police said.

Last Friday, the girl and her guardian met with investigators at police and on Tuesday, Vincente Torres-Meza, 33, of Inland Circle in Naperville was arrested, the release said.

He is charged with for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony, after he allegedly confessed to having a sexual relationship with the girl, the release said.

Torres-Meza is being held at the DuPage County Jail. Court information was not immediately available.
