The Winnetka school has many famous alums but only 10 made it into the first alumni "Hall of Honor" class.

The school says it selected the first inductees "for lives and careers spent upholding the New Trier values of inquiry, compassion, and service."

Among those chosen: Former Defense Secretary Don Rumsfeld, Playboy executive Christie Hefner, Sam Harris who helped founded the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Rainn Wilson who plays Dwight Schrute on the television show "The Office".

Not making the list: Chicago mayoral candidate and White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, movie tv producer Ed Zwick, former U.S. Senator Charles Percy, CBS 2 news anchor Walter Jacobson, Newsradio 780's John Hultman and actors Ann-Margret, Bruce Dern, Charlton Heston and Rock Hudson.

Better luck next year when the school will honor another round of alumni.
