The Independent Voters of Illinois-Independent Precinct Organization has already endorsed a candidate for mayor.

As WBBM Newsradio 780’s Mary Frances Bragiel reports, the group has also gone one step further by taking out a newspaper ad, wishing that person – Miguel Del Valle, to be specific – a happy Valentine’s Day.

The Chicago Sun-Times dedicated six pages to Valentine’s wishes Monday. Almost all involve a male-female romance, including an ad from Wonder Woman to her Superman, which reads, “When you wrap your arms around me I feel safe, loved strong. I feel complete.”

But only one ad involves a good-government group, and it’s love for one mayoral candidate.

It reads, “Happy Valentine’s Day Miguel Del Valle, from your family at IVI-IPO.

It’s not known if the campaign showed its love by sending chocolates or flowers.
