GENEVA, Ill. (WBBM) — A man’s body has been found along a suburban bike path.

A fisherman discovered the man’s body just off the Fox River trail at the Fabyan Forest Preserve in west suburban Geneva. Police taped off an area on the east side of the river…the body found 10 feet from the shore.

The cause of death is so far undetermined.

The area is within the jurisdiction of the Kane County Forest Preserve District, but the case has been turned over to Batavia police.

Dozens of bikers, joggers and walkers were out enjoying the trail when the discovery was made.
