Girl, 15, Shot In West Humboldt Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 15-year-old girl was shot in the neck and seriously injured Thursday night in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The girl had been walking on the sidewalk in the 4100 block of West Wabansia Avenue around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, police said. She heard gunshots, and soon realized she had been hit.
The girl suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
No one was in custody Friday morning in connection with the shooting.
