CHICAGO (WBBM) — A low-cost airline is getting some mileage out of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s conviction on 17 corruption counts.

Spirit Airlines is offering one-way flights for $17 dollars, saying on their website “We’ve got these fares and they’re F-ing golden.”

An image of a full head of brown hair pops up, then a man – not Blagojevich – dons an orange jumpsuit before he ends up behind bars.

The spot ends with “we are guilty of selling seats but we don’t expect to serve time,” poking fun at the ex-governor’s conviction for trying to sell President Barack Obama’s old senate seat.

The Florida-based carrier flies out of O’Hare International Airport, but the airport is not included in the deal.
