CHICAGO (CBS) — An 83-year-old South Side woman died Thursday, nearly a week after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street near her home.
Queen Maize, of the 6300 block of South Peoria St., was struck by the vehicle around 1:30 last Friday at 6300 S. Morgan St., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.READ MORE: Chicago Weather: Rounding Out The Warmest Weekend Of The Winter
She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she later died.

Maize was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 9:13 p.m. Thursday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
