Report: Second Mile Raised Funds For Judge Who Freed Sandusky

(WSCR) According to a published report, Jerry Sandusky's former charity, The Second Mile, raised money for the judge who freed him on unsecured bail.

Sandusky, a former Penn State defensive coordinator now charged with more than 40 counts of child sexual abuse, was freed on $100,000 unsecured bail by District Judge Leslie Duchtot. Prosecutors originally sought for $500,000 in secured bail, as well as an ankle monitor.

The report indicates the chairman of The Second Mile, Robert Poole, held a fundraiser for Duchtot on Oct. 9, 2007 as she was running for office.
