(WSCR) There is no telling why one man unfailingly believes and another helplessly doubts.

That curiosity often separates professional athletes from the rest of the world. Just ask Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, who credits his unwavering confidence to unerring faith in God.

Tebow’s self-belief, even in the face of mounting evidence against his ability to complete a forward pass, somehow allows him to be at his best when it matters most.

It underscores a basic truth of professional football: Playing quarterback in the NFL is the ultimate confidence game.
