Police: Woman Killed In Aurora Crash

AURORA, Ill. (STMW) - A woman was killed when the car she was driving crashed and rolled over Tuesday afternoon in west suburban Aurora, police said.

The single-car accident happened about 4 p.m. at Liberty Street and Enterprise Drive in Aurora, according to Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli.

A woman was driving a Pontiac G6 sedan west on Liberty Street – possibly at a high-rate of speed – when she lost control of the car just before Enterprise Drive, crossed the median, hit two trees and the car rolled over, Ferrelli said.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was the only person in the vehicle and nobody else was injured.

Liberty Street remained closed between Eola Road and Commons Drive as of about 5 p.m.
