Bears Sign CB Kelvin Hayden

(CBS) In an effort to boost the team's cornerback depth, the Bears signed Kelvin Hayden to a one-year contract Thursday.

Hayden is a seven-year veteran who spent six years with the Indianapolis Colts before joining the Atlanta Falcons in 2011. He has 312 career tackles, 11 interceptions, 41 passes defended, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown).

Hayden is a former member of the Illinois Fighting Illini, getting drafted in the second round of the Colts in 2005. He is also a Hubbard High School alum.

Bears fans will remember Hayden from Super Bowl XLI, when he intercepted former Bears quarterback Rex Grossman and returned it for a 56-yard touchdown.
