Police Looking For Missing Woman And Her Two Daughters

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a 41-year-old suicidal Southwest Side woman and her two daughters -- ages 1 and 19.

Maria Miranda and her daughters -- Victoria Ortega, 19, and 1-year-old Mariana Gomez -- were last seen on May 1, according to an alert from Area Central Special Victims Unit detectives.

Miranda has threatened to kill herself and her missing daughters, police said.

The three live in the 2800 block of West 38th Street. Police did not have a description of the clothing they may be wearing, but they may have with them a blue stroller and a black backpack.

Miranda is 5-feet-6-inches tall and 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Victoria Ortega is also 5-feet-6-inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. Mariana Gomez is 3-feet tall and about 30 pounds. She also has black hair and brown eyes.

If anyone sees the three, they are asked to call 911 and Area Central detectives, at (312) 747-8380.
