(CBS) After another rough start Tuesday, the Cubs designated pitcher Randy Wells for assignment Wednesday and recalled reliever Rafael Dolis from Triple-A Iowa.

Wells only lasted three innings in the Cubs 5-3 win over the Mets Tuesday. He gave up three runs and walked four batters, something that continues to bother manager Dale Sveum.

Wells is just 1-2 with a 5.34 ERA with the Cubs this season.
