Parents of Chicago school students will soon have more help to find information quickly.
At 9 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 16), the Chicago Public Schools will launch an improved school locator Web tool so parents can research schools – including statistics on enrollment, demographics, and academic performance detail.
“Whether it’s a neighborhood school, a charter or a magnet, our students need a full education and parents need to be able to quickly and easily access information about every school,” said CPS chief executive officer Jean-Claude Brizard said in a news release. “Parents have consistently suggested an easy-to-use online tool, and we are listening. As the new school year kicks off, we encourage parents to visit our website and see how easy it is to access school information.”
