Konerko Undergoes Wrist Surgery, Expected To Be Ready For Spring Training
(CBS) White Sox first baseman and captain Paul Konerko underwent successful surgery Thursday morning to remove a loose body from his left wrist.
Konerko was released from the hospital this morning and is expected to be ready for the start of spring training.
The 36-year-old, who just completed his 14th season with the White Sox, batted .298 with 26 home runs and 76 RBIs in 144 games this season.
