CHICAGO (STMW) —An autopsy Monday determined a person whose charred body was found in a dumpster Sunday night in the Northwest Side Avondale neighborhood was strangled.

Firefighters were called to the 3100 block of North Kimball Avenue about 11:05 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a dumpster blaze in a nearby alley, police said.READ MORE: One Person Shot On Dan Ryan Early Saturday Morning
After the flames were extinguished, firefighters noticed the body lying in the dumpster, authorities said.
