(WSCR) Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija continued his strikeout run on Saturday, fanning 11 Diamondbacks in just 6 1/3 innings of work.

Throughout the game, though, Samardzija was seen going back and forth with third-base coach Matt Williams and starting pitcher Ian Kennedy.

After the game, D-backs manager Kirk Gibson was asked what he thought about Samardzija yelling at his team.

“It’s part of the game,” Gibson told MLB.com. “Whatever. He didn’t get the win did he? Maybe the next time he should just shut the f*** up and pitch.”
