Commemorative Blackhawks Pucks Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Blackhawks win this week was their fifth Stanley Cup and if you'd like a hockey puck set that salutes all five of those wins-- now's your chance.
It's a limited edition set that's going fast, and it's for a good cause. Bob Ibeck, spokesperson for Make-A-Wish Foundation says all the money goes to local kids.
Ibeck was the public relations manager for the Cubs and says many of their last wishes involve sports, including a little boy who got to make the starting lineup in 1985 and put Ryan Sandberg in cleanup.
"And Sandberg hit two homers and drove in 5 RBI's that day and I brought the little boy in the locker room afterward and he was grinning ear-to-ear and I looked over at his father and he is crying and says 'That is the first time I have seen my little boy smile in about eight months," said Ibeck.
The set comes with pucks celebrating each win and its own display case. It's $99 and you can get it online at www.nikcosports.com
