Nazr Mohammed To Return To Bulls On 1-Year Deal

(CBS) Nazr Mohammed will return to the Bulls next year for what will be his 16th season in the NBA.

The center announced the move on his Twitter account Tuesday morning. The Chicago Tribune reported the contract is a one-year veteran's minimum deal.

"It was an easy decision because I really enjoyed my teammates, coaching staff, management and the fans," Mohammed wrote on Twitter. "I felt that we exceeded everyone's expectations but our own. I decided to return to the city that I was born and raised in to play my 16th season. Looking forward to going to battle with a group of guys who never made excuses and just tried to find a way to win. Can't wait to play for the Bulls again next season."

Mohammed averaged 2.6 points and 11 minutes in 63 games played last season with the Bulls. He proved to be a reliable big man off the bench and added depth, starting 12 games.
