Man Killed In South Chicago Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed in a drive-by shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood Tuesday evening.
Tyrone Hart, 18, was standing on the corner in the 8000 block of South Chappel Avenue when someone inside a passing dark-colored car opened fire about 7:45 p.m., authorities said.
Hart, of the 8100 block of South Chappel Avenue, was shot in the chest and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Authorities could not provide a motive for the attack on Tuesday night, police said.
Area South detectives were investigating, but no one was in custody.
