Bears Sign DE Jamaal Anderson
(CBS) Hours after DT Sedrick Ellis announced his retirement from the NFL, the Bears have signed veteran defensive lineman Jamaal Anderson to a one-year contract.
The 6-6, 280-pound Anderson started 48 of 77 games in six seasons with the Falcons, Colts and Bengals after he was selected by Atlanta in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.
The 27-year-old Anderson recorded 132 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 10 pass break ups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery during his NFL career.
