Man Attempts To Lure Girl In Antioch
ANTIOCH, Ill. (STMW) -- A man attempted to lure a teenage girl Friday in north suburban Antioch.
The Antioch Community High School cross country team was finishing a practice run at McMillian Road and Gail Street at 3:45 p.m. when a man parked his car and called to a girl on the team running by to stop and come over to him, police said.
The girl ran to her coach instead and reported the incident, police said.
Two weeks earlier, another female student experienced a similar incident with a man matching the same description, police said.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 60s with short white and gray hair, police said. The vehicle is described as a full size white van with no windows.
Patrols were increased and officers are working with school officials to notify students and parents of the incidents, police said.
Anyone with information should contact police at (847) 395-8585.
