State Police: Motorist Dead After Joliet Crash
JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) -- A motorist is dead after a crash Saturday in southwest suburban Joliet, state police said.
A Mercury Sable was traveling west on Louis Road at Route 53 when the vehicle pulled in front of a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north on Route 53 at Louis Road at 9:22 a.m., according to Illinois State Police Joliet District 5.
The front of the Tahoe struck the driver side of the Sable, ISP Joliet District 5 said.
The female driver of the Sable was pronounced dead at the scene, ISP Joliet District 5 said. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
The male driver of the Tahoe and three passengers inside Sable were hospitalized for injuries, ISP Joliet District 5 said.
State Police are investigating the crash.
