Report: Packers Might Shut Down Rodgers

(CBS) If the Packers don't turn things around, the team will reportedly shut down quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers was knocked out of Green Bay's Week 9 loss to the Bears, and the Packers haven't won since.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport tweeted the target date for Rodgers had been Dec. 8, but now cites a source who said Rodgers would be 'lucky' to play this week.

If Rodgers doesn't play and the team has no playoff hopes, they may elect to shut the quarterback down.
