75-Year-Old Man Beaten To Death In Gary
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An elderly man was beaten to death at his Gary, Ind., home Saturday.
Zan Davenport Jr., 75, suffered blunt force trauma in the 100 block of East 63rd Avenue in Gary about 5:29 p.m., according to the Lake County, Ind., Coroner's office.
Davenport, of the same address in the 100 block of East 53rd Avenue, was pronounced dead at 5:50 p.m., the coroner's office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
Gary police could not immediately provide further details about the incident.
